The Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich fired a warning shot towards a civilian yacht flying the British flag, and approached it to a distance of approximately 500 meters in the English Channel.
According to the British Press Association, the accident occurred at noon between the Isle of Wight in Great Britain and the coast of Normandy. No one was injured during the incident. The British Ministry of Defense said it was “investigating” information related to the incident.
