During a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico will deliver to him a message from Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. This was announced by State Secretary of the Slovak Foreign Ministry Rastislav Chovanek on Thursday, May 7.
“He can also obtain valuable information from the President of Russia on how to evaluate efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine,” he told a meeting of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.
According to him, at the present time it is necessary to maintain contacts with all parties, and European politicians should be interested in participating in the negotiations through which a peace agreement will be concluded. Khovanets added that many leaders, including from European countries, have already begun to pave the way for discussions with Vladimir Putin on the issue, it was said in condition.
Poland is ready to allow the passage of the plane of Robert Fico, who on Saturday, May 9, plans to attend celebrations in Moscow on the occasion of Victory Day, only if he allows aid to Ukraine. This was announced by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on May 6.
On May 1, the press secretary of the Czech Foreign Ministry, Adam Czergi, said that Prague had approved Robert Fico’s plane to fly through its territory.
