The Simonovsky District Court in Moscow closed the USSR Fitness Club, located on Klepozavodsky Proezd south of the capital, for three months. The reason was the poisoning of a number of employees with chlorine fumes. This was reported on Friday, June 5 by the press service of Rospotrebnadzor in Moscow.

The same incident occurred on April 26. Three fitness club employees were injured as a result of a chemical leak containing chlorine. Two of them were taken to hospitals and released the next day. The third victim refused to be admitted to the hospital.
An investigation was organized into the fact of poisoning people. The Public Prosecutor’s Office took control of all circumstances. Experts identified a number of violations in the fitness club, including the lack of a medical station and ventilation in a number of rooms, as well as other defects. In addition, investigators opened a criminal case under the article on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.
