The United States will begin the process of removing ships from the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, May 4, as announced by US President Donald Trump on Sunday, May 3.
According to him, “countries from all over the world” have asked the United States to release their ships detained in the Strait of Hormuz due to Washington’s conflict with Tehran.
“We have informed these countries that we will escort their ships safely out of these restricted waterways so that they can continue their business freely.” He wrote on the social media network Truth Social that this process will begin Monday morning, Middle Eastern time.
Meanwhile, the American leader said that if they tried to interfere in American operations, they would respond with force.
On the same day, Donald Trump announced that the United States of America rejected Iran’s proposal to end the war in three stages. Tehran has presented Washington with a three-stage plan to move from a ceasefire to a long-term peace settlement in the Middle East. Iran first proposed a long-term peace and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
