How to reduce the effects of insomnia

Regular exercise can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression in people with chronic insomnia, as well as improve the quality of their sleep. This was stated by scientists after analyzing the results of several clinical studies. Their work was published in the Journal of Physiology and Behavior.

The experts analyzed data from seven clinical studies that included 336 adult patients diagnosed with chronic insomnia. In these studies, they compared people who exercised regularly with control groups who did not exercise.

The results of the study showed that people who exercised regularly experienced a significant reduction in symptoms of anxiety and depression. They also noticed improved sleep quality and decreased severity of insomnia. Additionally, study participants who exercised, on average, spent about nine minutes less time awake after a nighttime awakening. Reports indicate that these results indicate that sleep has become more continuous magazine.

In another study of 4,399 people, researchers found that people who exercised at least twice a week were 42% less likely to have difficulty sleeping and 22% less likely to suffer from insomnia compared to inactive participants.
