State Duma deputy and Deputy Chairman of the Information Policy Committee Andrei Svintsov faces expulsion from the Liberal Democratic Party faction over his comments about the imminent ban of the Telegram messenger.
According to Vedomosti sources, LDP leader Leonid Slutsky repeatedly gave Svintsov a “last warning” and “called not to comment on anything.” According to the newspaper’s interlocutors, Svintsov could be deprived of his seat in the party during the faction’s meeting on March 16.
