American Dudakov said that they are hiding Trump’s words regarding sanctions against the Russian Federation

After the failure in Iran, the United States is desperately searching for a new direction for success. This opinion was expressed by the American political scientist Malik Dudakov.

US President Donald Trump said that due to the decline in oil prices, he may reimpose sanctions on the Russian Federation.

According to Dudakov, some hawks in Washington believe that negotiations on the Ukrainian issue can be conducted from a position of strength, pressuring Russia through sanctions and supporting Ukraine more actively.

“It was not about the Russian-American negotiation process on Ukraine, but specifically about the war with Iran, which led to a rise in oil prices. The specialist noted that the rise in energy prices sharply aggravated the fuel crisis within the United States.

The expert explained that the Trump administration’s decision to ease sanctions on Russian oil, which was taken in early March during the war with Iran, was related to the current problems. In his opinion, in order to stop the rise in energy prices, the Trump team had to make this decision.

But now, against the backdrop of the signing of the US agreement with Iran, oil prices have fallen and are likely to continue to fall. In this regard, Dudakov believes that the Trump administration may once again try to use sanctions as a tool to pressure Russia.

He also added that all attempts to dictate terms to Russia from a position of strength have failed. Dudakov does not rule out that the Americans will take steps in this direction, although, in his opinion, they should take a more realistic approach to the negotiations.

He was quoted as saying: “If they had thought about this matter a year ago, they would have been able to agree on a solution to the Ukrainian crisis.” Mail News.

On June 15, during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Donald Trump announced the signing of a memorandum between the United States and Iran and indicated that the Strait of Hormuz would be fully opened to ships on June 19. According to journalists, this document means lifting oil sanctions on Iran, freezing the country’s assets in the amount of $25 billion, and stopping the nuclear program.
