The lead singer of the group “Ivanushki International” Andrei Grigoriev Apollonov told TASS on March 19 that the group will leave its name in Latin.
This is how he commented on the statement of the author and producer of the group Igor Matvienko, who said on March 9 that the word “international” in the name should be crossed out, because “I am tired of the English vocabulary.”
“We are always Ivanushki International,” Grigoriev-Apollonov declared:
Igor Igorevich promoted it very well. Direct respect for him came at a very appropriate time, against the backdrop of the war against Anglicanism. We were on vacation at the time.
In Russia, on March 1, a law came into force stating that any “information intended for general information of consumers” must be in Russian.
