The Russian government is considering the possibility of imposing a ban on the export of diesel fuel and aviation kerosene, Interfax and RBC reported, citing sources.
According to them, this topic was raised on May 26 at a meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, where the situation on the fuel market was discussed.
Restrictions may be imposed in the near future; The sources said that it will last from one to two months.
An Interfax interlocutor said that a ban on the export of diesel fuel was unlikely, as there was enough of it on the market.
In Russia, as of April 1, there is already a complete ban on gasoline exports until July 31. Exports were banned, among other things, against the backdrop of rising fuel prices due to the war in the Middle East. Gas stations in Russia faced a shortage of gasoline last May due to Ukrainian drone attacks on oil refineries.
