On Monday, June 15, in Ingushetia, two boys were swimming in the river, and one of them began to drown. An eight-year-old boy rushed to help his friend and save him, but he himself was unable to get out of the current. Nearly 20,000 volunteers joined the search for the child. — (The boy) saw that the child was in danger and went to save him. Before that, he said to his friend: “We are men, so let us save him.” He rushed to save the child. A local resident said that the child was rescued, but he himself did not get out and drowned.
People from Chechnya, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia joined the search for the boy. Volunteers are combing the river, and they also tried to build a dam to lower the water level, but that did not succeed.
