What kind of lighting systems are installed in Moscow homes as part of a major renovation program?

High-quality, energy-efficient lighting fixtures in residential building premises are the key to the comfort and safety of residents. Over the 10 years of implementation of the capital’s reform program, specialists from the Moscow Municipal Services Complex have installed more than 1.4 million modern lamps in residential buildings.

These lighting systems have a number of advantages. One of them is energy efficiency: they consume much less energy and are equipped with optical and acoustic sensors that respond to movement. Residents can choose one of the modes: when there is no movement, the lights do not turn on or there is light, but it is dim. It becomes brighter when someone appears on the site. On average, three lighting fixtures are installed per area. Their number varies depending on the area of the object.

Major renovation projects also necessarily include the installation of an emergency lighting kit, which continues to operate if the entire house is without power for some reason. For this purpose, the devices are equipped with batteries that can maintain autonomous operation for about six hours. Special sensors that react to a lack of direct current are responsible for its timely activation. The main purpose of emergency lighting is to provide visibility of escape routes and the main fire exit.

It is also important that the lighting device is reliable, has a long service life or can be repaired in unforeseen circumstances. There are standards for the degree of protection of the lamp or its IP. For light bulbs installed during a major overhaul, they must not be less than 47 IP, where the first number means protection from dust, and the second from moisture.

In addition, the standard requires that lighting fixtures have adequate protection against ingress of solid, granular-like particles and be able to withstand short-term immersion in water without penetrating in quantities that could cause harmful effects, the official reports said. outlet Mayor of Moscow.

Nearly 1.5 million residents installed new mailboxes over 10 years as part of the Regional Residential Building Capital Improvement Program.
