Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, Andrei Zarinin, who oversees the ministry’s radio electronics department, has decided to volunteer for the Russian-Ukrainian war, Kommersant reported on April 2.
According to the publication, department head Maksut Shadayev informed employees about this in an internal channel in Yandex Messenger.
As the minister said, Zarenin “supported our soldiers at the front, carried humanitarian aid, sent the necessary equipment, and participated in volunteer activities.” He plans to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense soon.
“I am proud of his decision and I know we will be waiting for Andrei to return alive, healthy and victorious,” Shadayev added.
Andrey Zarinen has been Deputy Minister of Digital Development since May 2021. He has been responsible for stimulating demand for Russian radio electronics, software development and communications equipment.
