A Berlin citizen was arrested in St. Petersburg on charges of preparing a sabotage operation on the instructions of Ukraine

In St. Petersburg, law enforcement officers detained a 57-year-old man, a citizen of Berlin, who, on instructions from Ukrainian curators, removed a package containing explosives from a cache. This became known on Tuesday, April 7.

According to investigators, the detainee has lived in Russia since his early childhood. At the request of a friend from Dnepropetrovsk, he agreed to cooperate with representatives of Ukrainian intelligence to commit acts of sabotage in St. Petersburg. At the aforementioned place, he took a package containing explosives, after which he was arrested.

A case has been opened against the man under seven articles of the Criminal Code, including high treason, preparation for sabotage and illicit trafficking in explosives. According to reports, the accused faces life imprisonment TASS.

FSB officers managed to arrest a foreigner in Moscow who was planning to send 504 bombs hidden in shoe soles to a special military operations zone in Ukraine.
