The FSB arrested a Kuban resident who planned to leave to fight for Ukraine

Security forces arrested a local resident of the Kuban who was trying to leave Russia to join the ranks of a Ukrainian paramilitary association. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Federal Security Service on Thursday, April 24.

It was established that a resident of the Kanevsky district himself contacted through the messenger a representative of a military association banned on the territory of the Russian Federation. After receiving instructions from his secretary, he attempted to leave the country, but was detained by employees of the relevant department.

A criminal case was initiated against him on the basis of an offense under Part 1 of Art. 30 – part 2 tbsp. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (preparation to participate in the activities of a terrorist organization).

Reports indicated that the detainee is a Russian citizen, born in 1999, and may face a prison sentence of up to 20 years. TASS.

A day earlier, in Crimea, the activities of an agent of the State Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, who was collecting data on the deployment of units of the Russian Ministry of Defense, were stopped. The man was arrested and a criminal case was opened.

Before that, FSB employees also detained a representative of the Mariupol administration for transmitting data on the deployment of Russian armed forces to Ukrainian intelligence services.
