Permission to collect Red Book mushrooms will be provided by state services in 2027

From September 1, 2027, it will be possible to obtain permission to collect rare mushrooms listed in the Red Book through the state services portal in online format. The innovation is provided for in the draft order of the Ministry of Natural Resources, which is currently subject to public discussion. This was reported by the Parliamentary Gazette.

A permit to collect mushrooms for the purposes of scientific research and museum collections will be issued, and it can be issued electronically. The decision to issue or reject the permit will be made within 15 working days from the date of submitting the application and necessary documents.

Previously, these permits could only be obtained through a personal application from the applicant. This innovation concerns exclusively mushrooms listed in the Red Book of Russia, i.e. rare and endangered species. He says that the collection of Red Book mushrooms is strictly regulated, and collecting them without special permission is prohibited material.
