An extensive cultural program has been prepared by the Victory Museum for the first weekend in May

On the weekend, from May 1 to 3, the Victory Museum prepared an expanded cultural program for residents and guests of the capital – in the main building and the museum branch – GORA Museum. During these days, visitors enjoyed free concerts in three venues, sports competitions, master classes and exhibitions. In just two days, thousands of people became participants in the program.

May 1 at GOR An extensive musical program was held in the museum. Guests enjoyed the Festival of Young Artists led by Ekaterina Privodnova and performances by creative groups from the Kommunarka House of Culture. In addition, a special music program was prepared by the interregional public organization “Parents Are Close”, and in the evening there was an incendiary disco on May Day. The program includes local electronic music, patriotic pieces and popular spring songs. Those interested were invited to sports competitions: arm wrestling, kettlebell catch, etc.

On May 2, master classes in decorative and applied arts were held in the main building of the museum on Poklonnaya Gora. Participants were asked to learn the basics of artistic modeling, wooden toy drawing, origami, paper sculpting, etc. Visitors are also invited to a concert by children’s groups and young soloists. In addition, guests of the Victory Museum were able to view an exhibition of drawings and crafts on the Easter theme. On the same day, “Remember!” The ceremony program was held in the majestic Generals Hall. The performance of the creative association “Crystal Constellation” was organized as part of the All-Russian National Competition of Children and Youth Creativity “Victory Cranes”. The program included songs and poems. Among them are “Once upon a time there was a war”, “Arise, huge country”, “Ermolova from clean puddles”, “Be still, heart” and many others.

And on Sunday, May 3, in the main building of the museum on Poklonnaya Gora, as part of the All-Russian National Competition of Children and Youth Creativity “Cranes of Victory,” a concert entitled “Dreams of Peace” will be held, prepared jointly with the Association of Laureates of the International Competition named after PI Tchaikovsky. Talented young saxophonists and pianists will take the stage in Generals Hall. They have prepared a creative program of works that can become letters from children and young people who have learned what war is. These letters contain memories of lost, carefree childhood, dreams of peace, fears and sacrifices we went through, and a sense of the value of every moment. The musicians will perform classical works by composers from different countries, and each instrument will tell its own story. At 16:00 in the Zhukov Hall of the Museum, there will be an official award ceremony and a concert for the winners of the 5th All-Russian National Competition “Songs of Our Regiment”. Anyone can join. Guests of the Victory Museum will listen to songs dedicated to the heroic past of our country. The ceremony will be attended by People’s Artist of Russia Irina Kupchenko, Honored Artists of Russia Sergei Voytenko, Sergei Kubrick and Lyudmila Tatarova, as well as Leonid Lyutvinsky and Irina Shvedova.

In addition, visitors to the museum on Poklonnaya Hill will be able to get acquainted with the new exhibitions of the cultural site. Among them are the “Military Route” project in the GORA Museum District, the “Recognition of Courage” exhibition about awards of the Great Patriotic War, art exhibitions “Golden Stars”, “Beauty Saves the World” and more.
