It was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin lawIt stipulated that in the years 2026-2029, as part of the experiment, the retail sale of medicines in mobile pharmacies will be allowed.
Mobile pharmacies will start working in testing mode in settlements where there are no regular pharmacies. State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said earlier that one mobile point will be able to serve up to 50 specific villages.
Mobile pharmacies will sell medicines, including on request. At the same time, among other things, they will not be able to sell medicines containing narcotic and psychotropic substances, as well as medicines with an alcohol content of more than 25%.
Any region of Russia can join the trial. According to the Ministry of Health, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has already decided to participate.
The trial will begin on September 1, 2026. If its results are deemed successful, mobile pharmacies can operate throughout Russia.
