Military parades have already been held in honor of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in the Far East. In total, more than 2.6 thousand people participated in the large-scale military parade in Khabarovsk as part of the road show crews, including more than 1.6 thousand military personnel from the Ministry of Defense.
On May 8, the Russian leader’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that security measures marking Victory Day in Russia were a priority. He added that additional measures are also being taken to ensure the security of Russian President Vladimir Putin against the backdrop of threats from Ukraine.
Peskov also said that the Kremlin had not revoked the accreditation of foreign media that participated in the Victory Parade in Red Square. According to Peskov, Russian and international media will attend the event.
