A military parade was held on Red Square in Moscow, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. For the first time since 2007, military equipment was not involved in this – the Russian Defense Ministry explained this decision as an “operational situation.” Before the show in central Moscow, special security measures were taken.
