Every child believes that his cherished desire will certainly come true. And adult participants of the social project “Let’s be friends!” We are certain: it could not be otherwise.
There are no other people’s children. Go to an airplane show, visit an ice cream factory, try ice skating, feed the dolphins, learn to play the guitar, meet Yuri Kuklachev, Nikolai Tsiskaridze and other Russian stars… The world of children’s hopes is limitless. And every child’s dream come true is like wings behind his back – it inspires, gives confidence, helps in finding a mentor and deciding on the choice of profession. In fact, this is the mission of “Let’s be friends!” The project is implemented in three areas: fulfillment of children’s desires, social guidance and a business program.
To join the army of good witches, you must respond to your dream and open an endless world of possibilities for your child. All of us can do this. There are enough baby wishes for everyone. Any country or commercial company, having become a partner in the project, can organize excursions, internships and acquaintances with mentors for children.
More than 250 wishes for children thanks to the project “Let’s Be Friends!” It has already been implemented. Hundreds of events – meetings with favorite actors, famous athletes, creative activities and internships in professional places – have already been held for more than two thousand children. Among them are students of the Rainbow Family Education Center.
“Every time a child returns to the center after a trip, class or meeting a famous person, we see how his eyes light up,” says the center’s director, Svetlana Erkhina. Instead of dreaming, he has a goal and a great desire to achieve it. He begins to seriously engage in the matter that he learned about in the project: he chooses a college or university, reads books and watches videos on this topic. When “I dream” turns into “I will,” that is the greatest miracle.
So, the dream of the graduate of the Margarita Center has now been fulfilled by Olympic champion Ekaterina Debutat (Bobrova) and World Championship medalist Andrey Debutat. Vera, a graduate of the center, attended a master class in water skiing. Varya from the center of the Suglaci family was six years old when she saw the victory of the Russian swordswoman Sofia the Great on television. Now Varvara is nine years old, and she has been fencing for three years. The girl’s dream of meeting the two-time Olympic champion came true! Sophia learned about Farina’s dream and invited the young fan to a fencing competition.
“I’m so glad I met Sophia the Great!” – says Faria. Now preparing for her competitions, she recalls a meeting with a famous athlete: “If something doesn’t work out, as Sofia advised, I will work on it, and one day he will achieve victory!”
Could Anastasia, a pupil of the orphanage center, student of the Faculty of Cinema No. 40, dream that Sergei Burunov himself would introduce her to the “kitchen” of cinema? I can! She had every right. The famous actor, having become a participant in the project, gladly fulfilled the girl’s dream and shared with her his experience of overcoming doubts and difficulties on the way to success.
“There’s so much competition and disillusionment in our profession, it’s really a field of broken egos,” he said. “But if you really want to do this, don’t let anyone cut your wings.” Everyone makes mistakes – parents, teachers and ourselves. The main thing is not to be afraid of them, but to learn from them. And remember: each person’s path is unique, and you should not compare yourself with others.
…turning a dream into reality is not difficult. You just need to want it – to spark joy in the child’s eyes, to give the teenager faith in his own strength and the feeling of happiness that you feel when you are a good healer. Try it! Maybe you will become one too?
