Russian soldier Naran Oshir-Guriev died “while performing combat missions” in the war with Ukraine. This was announced by the President of Kalmykia Batu Khasikov.
“He was a true warrior, an officer with a capital letter, an example of courage and loyalty to the oath,” Khasikov said. “From the first days, Naran-Oshir-Guriyev was on the front line. He was succeeded by Solidar, the liberation of Seversk, and more complex military operations.”
Naran Osher-Guriev is a native of Kalmykia. His relatives said that he volunteered for the war with Ukraine in 2022. Before that, he worked in the state traffic inspectorate. During the war he was the commander of an assault company.
In December 2025, he participated in a direct line-up with Vladimir Putin, whom he addressed several times during the event.
