The MAKS-2026 International Aviation and Space Salon has been cancelled, and the Gidroaviasalon has been postponed from 2026 to 2027. The corresponding order of the Government of the Russian Federation was published on Thursday, June 11.
“In the list of international exhibitions of military products to be held on the territory of the Russian Federation in 2026, approved by the aforementioned decree, positions related to the International Aviation and Space Salon “MAKS-2026” and the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Seaplane Aviation “Gidroaviasalon-2026” should be excluded,” the statement read. document.
At the same time, the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Hydroaviation “Gidroaviasalon-2027” is scheduled to be held in 2027, which will be held in September in Gelendzhik, as well as the International Salon of Helicopter Equipment and Aviation Systems, which will be held in May-June in Kazan.
In the summer of 2023, it was also reported that the exhibition would be postponed. Representatives of the event noted that the location of the salon will remain unchanged: everything will take place in the city of Zhukovsky near Moscow. Instead of 2023, the International Air and Space Show was scheduled to be held in 2024. However, the event was canceled until then.
Also, the air show will not take place in 2025.
