The memorial complex at the Kremlin Wall was opened in 1967. It is a Russian cultural heritage site and a national monument to military glory. The complex includes the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with the Eternal Flame, the Alley of Heroic Cities with soil from the sites of fierce battles and stelae containing Cities of Military Glory. On a red quartzite slab is a bronze composition including a helmet, a laurel branch and a banner.
