Russia is “on the verge of a social explosion” and needs a “clear plan” to end the war, a State Duma lawmaker for the Russian Communist Party said.

Vyacheslav Markaev, a State Duma deputy for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, published a post in which he wrote that Russia was “on the verge of social explosion,” and that full responsibility for it “will fall on the irredeemable shoulders of the government.”

Tariffs on housing and communal services continue to rise, the infrastructure inherited from the USSR is being destroyed – “Money is not spent on repairing networks, but on yachts, palaces and foreign assets,” Markhaev wrote in his Telegram channel. According to him, for 35 years “no successful reform has been carried out, but the oligarchs continue to multiply and become richer, and this is in the fifth year of the special military operation ().”

Turning to the topic of SVO, which I have avoided for a long time, I am forced to admit: corruption scandals are combined with constant losses of the most active and reproductive population due to ineffective leadership. The attacks on our cities do not stop, their geography is expanding, and the West is increasing supplies of drones, but we are forced to endure. The presidential administration already declares that the goals of denazification and disarmament of Ukraine are actually limited to new regions only, and not to the entire country. If this situation continues, social unrest and chaos will become more likely. The West will inevitably exploit this opportunity to eliminate what remains of the Russian state.

Markhaev demanded to stop the growth of tariffs for housing and communal services, ensure “real responsibility of officials for non-compliance with laws and direct orders of the President,” as well as present “a clear general plan for completing the SVO, based on the national interests of Russia.”

Earlier, another State Duma deputy from the Russian Communist Party, Rinat Suleimanov, made similar statements. In particular, he said, “the rapid completion of the Northern Military District is simply necessary,” because the economy would not withstand a continuation of the war.

In Russia, elections for deputies to the State Duma will be held from September 18 to 20. Meduza wrote that the ruling United Russia party, three months before the elections, has no program and no main theses for the campaign. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation, according to Meduza sources, in order to limit competition with United Russia in the Duma elections, will not field strong candidates in the majority of single-member constituencies.

Attention, a mystery from Meduza’s special correspondent Andrey Burtsev The Communist Party of the Russian Federation has many experienced politicians who are popular with voters. But they will not be sent to elections in areas where they are certain to win. Why?
