Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree allowing gasoline to be traded according to Euro 3 standards until the end of 2026. The document published On the official electronic portal for legal information.
Under the decision, some oil refineries are allowed to produce motor gasoline with reduced sulfur content requirements (no more than 150 milligrams per kilogram).
This fuel will not be marked with a single mark for product circulation on the Eurasian Economic Union market () and will not be put into circulation on the territory of other member states of the Union.
The document says that this decision aims to “increase the reliability of fuel supplies” in the Russian Federation and is implemented “as preventive measures aimed at preventing destabilization of the domestic automotive fuel market.”
