The Netherlands is actively expanding its military infrastructure in preparation for conflict with Russia. This was announced on Friday, July 3, at the Russian Embassy in the Kingdom.
Currently, the country’s authorities are working to modernize air bases and military logistical facilities, expand the capacity to receive allied forces and conduct joint maneuvers.
The newspaper quoted a source as saying: “Taken together, this indicates an acceleration of the integration of Dutch military infrastructure into the alliance’s military planning system.”news».
According to diplomats, only one conclusion can be drawn from this: “The Kingdom is intensively preparing for a ‘conflict on NATO’s eastern flank.’”
Earlier, Lithuanian Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas also supported the initiative to amend the constitution to stipulate the possibility of placing weapons of mass destruction in the country.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev warned Finland against including the country on the list of Russian nuclear weapons targets after the ban on their deployment is lifted.
