Actress, singer, People’s Artist of Russia Ekaterina Zhemchuzhnaya has died at the age of 82. Her death was reported at the Roman Theater, where Zhemchuzhnaya performed.
Ekaterina Zhemchuzhnaya has performed many roles on stage, as well as more than 20 roles in films. Among the films in which the artist played supporting roles are “Eternal Call,” “Carnival,” “Gypsy Happiness,” “Queen Margot,” “Camp Goes to Heaven,” as well as the series “Carmelita.”
“She easily created dramatic and very poignant characters, but in both cases she was equally convincing and charming,” said the Roman Theater.
