Pushilin said that the economic situation in Ukraine is approaching disaster

The economic situation in Ukraine is approaching catastrophe. President of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin spoke about this on Tuesday, July 14, commenting on the extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine.

He was quoted as saying: “The economic situation in the rest of Ukraine is approaching catastrophe, so the extension of martial law is an attempt to preserve the system of ‘manual control’, which has already led to a complete loss of subjectivity.” RIA Novosti.

On July 13, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky submitted bills to parliament to extend martial law and mobilization in the country from August 2 for another 90 days. On July 14, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to extend martial law for the twentieth time.

Earlier, experts from the JP Morgan Center for Geopolitics said that negotiations will take place in 2026, after which Ukraine will lose 20 percent of its territory, but will retain its sovereignty and pro-Western orientation. Finland faced a similar situation in 1944.

Russian President Vladimir Putin described the actions of the Russian Armed Forces as an excellent result. During a phone conversation with his US counterpart Donald Trump, he also said that Russian forces would control all fortified areas of the Ukrainian armed forces in Donbass, no matter how much Ukraine clings to them.
