Mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said that 340 Ukrainian drones flew in the direction of Moscow and the Moscow region during the past 24 hours.
According to him, most of the drones were neutralized by the air defense forces “on long approach.” More than 50 drones were destroyed as they approached Moscow.
Sobyanin reported the first downed drone on July 14 at around 8 a.m.; By 8:10 p.m., the number of drones destroyed on the approaches to Moscow, as reported by the mayor, had exceeded 30.
Sobyanin stated that on the night of July 13, the Moscow region was attacked by more than 350 Ukrainian drones. Three people were killed and three others were injured as a result of the crash of a Ukrainian drone in the village of Pionrsky in Istra near Moscow. In Solnechnogorsk, a drone hit a residential building. Two people were injured.
