Actress Elena Ksenofontova believes that half the blame for abusive relationships lies with women. She shared her opinion on the “12 Questions” program.
The artist shared details of her life married to lawyer Alexander Rezikh. According to her, this relationship was difficult and full of moral humiliation, aggression and physical violence on the part of her husband.
“If a man raises his hand on a woman, it’s 50 percent our fault.” The body is sacred, but we give ourselves the right to treat ourselves that way. Unfortunately, we are trained as servants of men. (…) There is no need to wait for a prince on a white horse. You must be attractive with your independence. “This will never make you lose your vulnerability and femininity,” says Ksenofontova.
At the same time, the actress is sure that women are better than men because of their multitasking, as well as their strong energy potential.
Ksenofontova, who was loved by the audience in the role of Eleonora Galanova in the TV series “Kitchen”, lived for nine years with lawyer Alexander Ryzhik, with whom she had a daughter named Sonya. The actress said in 2020 that she was the victim of an abusive relationship.
Later, the artist admitted that she lived this marriage “like in hell,” where she suffered not only beatings, but also emotional abuse. However, the abuse in Ksenofontova’s life began long before this story: her father abused her and her mother, and did terrible things.
