The commander of the 5th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (former Oplot battalion), Colonel Ramil Vskhutdinov, was awarded the title of Hero of Russia, the Ministry of Defense reported.
The award was presented to Vskhutdinov by Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. The award ceremony is timed to coincide with the upcoming Russia Day.
