On Friday, July 10, residents of the Pervomaisky microdistrict of Korolev, Moscow Region reported large numbers of fish kills in the Klyazma River in the area of the River Park residential complex. According to them, dead fish began to be noticed along the beach on July 7, and since then their numbers have increased.
Local residents said there is a beach next to the residential complex, where people, including children, relax and swim regularly. This part of the river is also home to ducks and other animals, and seagulls feed on the fish.
Residents asked relevant services to conduct inspections, take water samples, find out the cause of the mass fish death, and report the results. In turn, the Korolev administration reported that administration employees did not find any signs of discharge of sewage, industrial waste and household waste into the river.
In addition, the specialists also took water samples for analysis in the laboratory, which will show whether the water quality meets established standards. The results of the study will be ready by July 17 cable– “Caution Moscow” channel.
