Vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis is carried out at the expense of the budget of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation only if there is an appropriate decision of the chief sanitary doctor of the region. In other cases, vaccination can be performed at your own expense. This came in a statement to the press service of the Ministry of Health on Thursday, April 16.
“Vaccination against tick-borne viral encephalitis is included in the calendar of preventive vaccinations for epidemiological indicators and is indicated for residents of endemic areas and citizens who travel to these areas, as well as people representing certain professions, for example, specialists in logging and agricultural industry, geologists and others,” the ministry’s message stated. If there is no solution, citizens can independently contact licensed medical organizations and get vaccinated at their own expense.
