“I launched my Oreshnik against Bela Tserkva. Really inappropriate.” Zelensky commented on the Russian overnight strike on Ukraine

Vladimir Zelensky wrote on his channel on the Telegram application that as a result of the Russian night raid on Ukraine, at least 83 people were injured and some of them were killed.

According to him, during the attack, Russia used 90 missiles, including 36 ballistic missiles, and 600 drones.

Putin can no longer even pronounce the word “Hurray” normally – he mumbles – and yet he still takes down apartment buildings with his missiles. Three Russian missiles hit a water supply facility, burned a market, damaged dozens of residential buildings, and damaged several regular schools. Oreshnik was fired against Belaya Tserkov. Not really enough.

According to Zelensky, it is important for Russia that all this “does not pass without consequences.” He added: “Today, everyone in the world who does not remain silent, and who will help Ukraine, is a defender of life.”

On the night of May 24, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine using Oreshnik. The main direction of the attacks was Kiev – according to the latest data, two people were killed there and more than 50 were injured. The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Oreshnik struck the Bila Tserkva district – about 80 kilometers from Kiev to the south. No adverse effects or deaths were reported.

This is the third time Russia has used Oreshnik. It was used for the first time in November 2024 to attack the Yuzhmash plant on the Dnieper, and the second time in January 2026 to attack the Lviv region. On May 22, Vladimir Putin spoke about the attack by Ukrainian armed forces on a college in Starobelsk, Lugansk region, and instructed the Russian Ministry of Defense to prepare a response.
