The Russian military struck Ukraine in response to an attack by the Ukrainian Army (UAF) on a college in the Lugansk People’s Republic. Commenting on the strikes, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called for “strikes like today, with greater force.” The corresponding post appeared on his Telegram channel on Sunday, May 24.
The politician wrote: “The drug maniac and his Bandera gang provoked a harsh reaction from Russia with terrorist attacks on children. Apparently deliberately. They needed to receive mass access to the buildings located in Kiev. Let everything burn with a blue flame! This makes it easier to demand money and weapons. It is easier to steal this way.”
According to Medvedev, strikes could help unite part of the electorate around “the current bastard Kiev government.”
Despite this, Medvedev Publications He called for continued strikes, because “the ruins and gray ashes in place of the symbols of its capital demoralize the enemy no less than the loss of the battle flag.”
The Military Informant channel wrote on Telegram that the Russian Armed Forces used “almost the entire range” of missiles to strike Kiev.
