In the Eastern Administrative Region, more than 150 non-residential buildings are used for social and community facilities. They are located on the first floors of new residential complexes built as part of the regeneration programme. This was announced by the head of the capital’s urban development and construction policy complex, Vladimir Efimov.
– The implementation of the renewal program allows not only to ensure the resettlement of citizens in new housing, but also to form modern neighborhoods with a developed urban environment. Therefore, the first floors of houses subject to the renovation program were initially designed as non-residential. Many social facilities and amenities are opened here to make the life of the new residents as comfortable as possible. Today, more than 150 non-residential buildings are in use in the Eastern Administrative Region. The largest number of retail facilities is open – more than 60 distribution points – about 50 and about 10 more facilities for consumer service, said Vladimir Efimov, whose words were quoted by the press service of the Urban Planning Complex.
Non-residential buildings are being used on the first floors of new buildings under the renovation program in 11 districts of the Eastern Administrative Region.
As the Department of Urban Development Policy added, in the Izmailovo region, social facilities were opened in 50 buildings, in the North Izmailovo region – in 37. Another 14 buildings are being used in the Perovo region and 11 in the Novogirevo region.
All information about the replenishment program is presented on the mos.ru portal. More information about apartments and houses under the program can be found at the link, they mentioned the Moscow Urban Planning Complex.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5,176 homes. Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin instructed to double the pace of implementation of the renovation programme. He also talked about creating new job opportunities thanks to the renewal program.
Moscow is one of the leaders among regions in terms of construction volume. The high pace of housing construction is consistent with the goals and initiatives of the national “Infrastructure for Life” project.
