Passenger services of the capital’s metro were provided at Leningradsky station

Passenger services make the journey comfortable and understandable at every stage of the journey. The renovated Leningradsky Station has become part of Moscow’s unified transport system and the most modern railway station in the country.

For the convenience of passengers, the same services that are already operating in the metro, on the Moscow Central Districts (MCD) and ground transport have been provided. Thanks to this, citizens and tourists get a single, seamless experience of interacting with the capital’s transportation system – from route planning to trip completion, regardless of the chosen mode of transportation.

— Transportation in Moscow is considered number one in the world in terms of the number of comfortable and modern services. Years of systematic work have allowed us to create high standards of service and an environment in which every passenger feels comfortable. That is why the share of trips by public transport today reaches 70 percent. Integrating the stations into Moscow’s transport system is a logical step for the development of the capital. Our mission is to ensure that passengers move smoothly and comfortably from metro, MCD or road transport to long distance train. “On behalf of Sergei Sobyanin, at Leningradsky Station we are shaping a new standard for railway station – modern, understandable and comfortable at every stage of the journey,” said Maxim Liksutov, Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry.

Now at Leningradsky station, citizens with limited mobility are accompanied by inspectors from the Passenger Mobility Center. They help passengers all the way – from entering the station building to boarding the desired train. Assistance is provided to people with disabilities, the elderly and parents with children.

In addition, the station has a unified standard for working with forgotten items. All found items are sent centrally to forgotten item warehouses in the metro. For metropolitan transport passengers, this is an already familiar and understandable service that has been operating for 73 years.

Audio information at the station is implemented in the voice of metropolitan transport, already familiar to passengers. Experts made the ads brief, removing audio overload on the listener. New elements of Moscow Transport’s audio branding, created specifically for Leningradsky Station, are heard before the announcements. Audio signals allow passengers to pay attention to broadcast messages and engage them in the flow of information.
