Russia is ready to resume oil transportation through Druzhba

Moscow is ready to resume oil supplies to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline in accordance with contractual obligations, but the restoration of transit depends on the actions of Ukraine, which was stopped through its fault. This was stated by the press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

– The Russian side remains technologically ready, and we have contractual obligations with Hungary. But after the blackmail began (from abroad – almost. “Virtual device”) Kyiv regime, these supplies have been stopped. Everything depends on the Kiev regime: whether they will open the pipe and whether they will stop the blackmail, in the words of the Kremlin representative TASS.

On April 20, Hungarian Minister for European Union Affairs János Buka announced that Ukraine would resume oil transportation from Russia to Hungary via the Druzhba pipeline on Tuesday, April 21. He also stated that “if Hungary had not blocked the EU loan to Kiev worth 90 billion euros, oil supplies via Druzhba would never have resumed.”

Earlier, Peter Magyar, leader of the Hungarian Tisza party that won the parliamentary elections, called on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to restart the Druzhba oil pipeline as soon as possible. The politician stressed that Budapest “will not allow any blackmail.”
