Sergei Sobyanin congratulated Muscovites on the occasion of Social Worker’s Day

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Monday, June 8, congratulated social workers on their professional holiday and noted their contribution to supporting citizens. According to him, specialists in the social sector help people facing difficult life situations and solve a wide range of social issues.

Sobyanin emphasized that in recent years a modern system of social protection has been created in the capital, combining technology, professionalism and an attentive attitude towards people.

The mayor also noted that Moscow was the first in the country to open the Social Treasury, created a unified center to support SVO participants and their families, and also launched the “Moscow Longevity” project, which aims to improve the quality of life of the older generation.
