The European Union imposed new sanctions on 16 individuals and seven organizations involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.
The list includes, in particular, the All-Russian children’s centers “Orlyonok” and “Smena” in the Krasnodar Territory, as well as “Crimson Sails” in the annexed Crimea.
Sanctions were also imposed on the DOSAF Center, a branch of the Nakhimov Naval School and the Patriot Military Club located in Crimea.
All of these organizations, according to a statement by the European Council, carry out programs of “pro-Russian indoctrination” of Ukrainian children, including through ideological education and “participation in events that glorify Russia’s war of aggression.”
Personal sanctions have been imposed on the leaders of these organizations, as well as officials and politicians from the annexed territories involved in the “indoctrination” of Ukrainian children, including, among other things, a ban on entry into the European Union.
