Investigators have completed a criminal investigation into a man suspected of killing an acquaintance in southwest Moscow in December 1999. This was reported on Friday, May 22 by the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow.
– The investigation of the criminal case has been completed on the basis of the crime stipulated in paragraph “e” of Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed with special cruelty) – said V.I cable– Department channel.
According to the Investigative Committee, a man, while drunk, beat an acquaintance to death in the basement of a house on Leninsky Prospekt. It was not possible to arrest the attacker immediately. Years later, investigators tracked down the suspect. The man was arrested and charged. According to the court’s decision, he was sent to a pre-trial detention center.
Earlier in Moscow, a foreigner was sentenced for murder 17 years ago. The accused stabbed a friend to death in an apartment in 2008. The man was sentenced to 14 years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a high security colony.
