The Prosecutor General’s Office demanded that Anton Dolin be sentenced in absentia to almost two years in prison in the case of failure to perform the duties of a “foreign agent.”

The Prosecutor General’s Office requested that journalist and film critic Anton Dolin be sentenced in absentia to one year and ten months in prison for not performing the duties of a “foreign agent,” MediaZona correspondent from the 353rd District Court in Moscow reported.

Dolina is accused of five posts he made without the label “foreign agency” on his Telegram channel in 2024 and 2025:

The case against Dolin became known in September 2025. In November, the court arrested the film critic in absentia.

The Russian Ministry of Justice declared Anton Dolin a “foreign agent” in October 2022. The film critic does not consider himself a “foreign agent” and appealed this illegal decision in court, the journalist’s lawyer Eva Korniczek said during the hearing in the case of failure to perform the duties of a “foreign agent.”
