The UK imposed sanctions on the Internet Development Institute (engaged in propaganda), the EISI (a Kremlin think tank) and the Dialogue ANO leadership (responsible for public relations at the Ministry of Defence).

The British authorities added about 80 Russian and other Russian organizations to the sanctions list. The Internet Development Institute, Director General of ANO Dialogue Vladimir Tabak and Head of the Department of Strategic Directions of this organization Timofey Vasiliev (aka Timofey V), as well as the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISRI), are now subject to British sanctions.

The propaganda organization ANO “Dialogue” is responsible for public relations of the Ministry of Defense and creates fake news about Ukraine. Medusa talked about this in detail.

The Internet Development Institute is involved in the distribution of budget funds to create “patriotic” propaganda content, which Meduza also wrote about.

EISI is the “think tank” of the political bloc of the Russian presidential administration, which was created in 2017 after the arrival of Sergei Kiriyenko to the Kremlin. You can also read about what he does at Meduza.

Sanctions have also been imposed on employees of the Social Design Agency accused of interfering in elections around the world, including trying to influence the outcome of the vote in Hungary in April 2026.

In addition, the British sanctions list included:

  • Chairman of Rosmolodezh Grigory Gurov;
  • Head of the Yunarmia Movement Headquarters Vladislav Golovin;
  • Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Novosibirsk Region Nadezhda Boltenko;
  • ANO “Center for Online Studies and Monitoring of Youth Environment” (monitors accounts of schoolchildren and students from “new regions” in order to “immediately report on emerging threats and new destructive manifestations”);
  • Sevastopol State University.
