US President Donald Trump said this Agreed With Israel and Lebanon to stop mutual attacks and thus available Negotiations with Iran continue.
Trump stressed on the Truth social network that “negotiations with the Islamic Republic are continuing at a rapid pace.”
The Iranian side did not publicly confirm the continuation of contacts.
On the afternoon of June 1, Iran’s state-run Tasnim news agency reported that Iran would suspend communications with the United States regarding Israeli strikes on Lebanon, where the pro-Iranian terrorist group Hezbollah has facilities. Iran stressed that Lebanon is part of the terms of the truce with the United States, but fighting continues “on all fronts.”
At the end of February, the United States and Israel went to war with Iran. By early April, Washington and Tehran were able to agree on a truce, but they were still unable to agree on the terms of a final ceasefire and exchanged strikes from time to time.
The truce also includes Israel and Lebanon. At the same time, on May 31, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commander Expanded ground operations in Lebanon, reportedly in response to increasing Hezbollah attacks on northern Israel. Iran described this as a violation of the terms of the ceasefire.
