Türkiye has deported Russian woman Ariadna Litvinova, who was wanted on charges of “defaming” the military over anti-war writings. According to the “Prison Lawyer” channel on Telegram, Litvinova was sent to Russia on July 4, and contact with her has been lost since then.
Representatives of the “prison lawyers” told “That’s What It Is” magazine that Litvinova may have been detained upon her arrival at Vnukovo Airport and transferred to St. Petersburg, where she will be placed in a pre-trial detention center.
Ariadna Litvinova in February 2025 detained In St. Petersburg for the inscriptions “Murderers. Peace for Ukraine. Freedom for political prisoners” on the banners of the war exhibition near the arch of the General Staff building.
Litvinova was initially accused of sabotage, but the article was later changed to “discredit” the military. Initially she was sent to a pre-trial detention center, but then the preventive measure was changed to a ban on certain procedures. After Litvinova became free, she left Russia and went to Türkiye, where her father lives. She was put on Russia’s most wanted list.
MediaZona draws attention to the fact that the letter from the “prison lawyer” talks about deportation, not the extradition of Litvinova. It was not determined which Turkish laws were violated.
Litvinova was a student at the Police College, but she left in 2023 because of war propaganda, she said.
