Two Russians wanted internationally for several crimes were arrested in the United Arab Emirates. The men were transferred to Dubai airport for extradition to Moscow. This was reported on Thursday, June 4 by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
As a result of organized interaction through Interpol channels, both wanted individuals were identified and detained on the territory of the United Arab Emirates. They added that they were handed over today at Dubai Airport to representatives of Russian law enforcement agencies for extradition to Moscow Website Departments.
According to the investigation, one of the two men handed over his car to a resident of the Chechen Republic, where he went to fight on the territory of another country as part of an armed formation whose goals conflicted with the interests of Russia. In this regard, a criminal case was opened against the suspect.
The second man, an employee of the supervisory authority, “turned a blind eye” to violations during the construction of residential buildings in exchange for money. In total, he earned more than five million rubles, and then fled abroad.
Earlier, a Russian wanted for fraud worth 3.2 billion rubles was deported from Thailand. He stole budget funds allocated for the targeted program for the development of the military-industrial complex.
