Mira Andreeva and Diana Schneider reached the semifinals of the French Open.
Sneijder won the quarter-final match over the number one racket in the world, representative of Belarus Aryna Sabalenka (3:6, 7:5, 6:0). Andreeva defeated Romanian Sorana Kirsti (6:0, 6:3).
In the semifinals, Schneider will play against Maya Khvalynskaya from Poland, and Andreeva – against Marta Kostyuk from Ukraine.
The last time two Russian women reached the semifinals at Roland Garros was in 2009. Then Dinara Safina won the tournament.
The last time a Russian actress reached the Roland Garros final was in 2021. It was Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, who lost the deciding match.
