A situation in which the master overestimates the previously mentioned amount in a business telephone conversation is considered a violation of consumer rights. This was spoken by the Vice President of the International Association of Mediators “Power of Dialogue” Dmitry Khrulev.
— The danger begins when the price looks like a bait. The expert noted that the formula “from 500 rubles” is acceptable in itself if there is a real minimum service behind it and the client is explained before starting work what is included in this amount, how much the visit, diagnosis, materials will cost and under what conditions the amount will increase.
According to the specialist, very often craftsmen overestimate the amount by several thousand rubles. In this case, the expert advises collecting screenshots of the advertisement, correspondence, call recording, receipt and transfer, photo of the work and details of the master. Then submit a claim to the service provider to request a refund of the excess amount. If an agreement is not reached, the consumer has the right to go to court.
Khrulev noted that after work, the specialist must issue a receipt, work order, contract or other written form containing the details of the performer, type of work, price, deadline, payment and reports. R.T.
