The dollar exchange rate on the Russian interbank market rose for the first time since April 10, 2024 above 87 rubles.
As of 11:04 Moscow time, the dollar was trading at 87.44 rubles, which was 4.25% higher than the previous day, TASS wrote. Then the rate dropped a little.
The euro exchange rate on the Russian interbank market rose by 11:14 Moscow time by 1.31% to 97.29 rubles. TASS notes that the euro exchange rate rose above 97 rubles for the first time since October 7, 2025.
Official exchange rates also rose. On March 19, the Central Bank set the euro exchange rate at 94.6 rubles (an increase of 1.5 rubles from the previous day), and the dollar exchange rate at 83.12 rubles (an increase of 1.2 rubles).
