How will artificial intelligence develop in the near future?

In the next decade, humanity expects three major waves in the development of artificial intelligence. Pavel Voronin, General Director of MTS Web Services, spoke about this.

According to the expert, the first wave will be the era of multi-agent systems, where software agents will be able to interact independently with each other without direct human intervention. Voronin cited as an example the situation in which the digital assistant on the state services portal directly agrees with the banking agent on the terms of refinancing a loan, and then independently resolves issues of tax deductions with the relevant service.

The second phase, as the company’s president noted, will be associated with the development of “physical artificial intelligence” – the introduction of robots into the real world. Voronin cited statistics stating that in 2025 more than 550,000 industrial robots were installed in the world with an annual market growth of 14 percent, and by 2026 this number could accelerate to 20 percent.

— We also pay attention to this area. The specialist added that a few days ago they announced the launch of the Physical Artificial Intelligence track in research and development, which aims to develop technologies and software to create and support the cognitive skills of robots based on artificial intelligence capabilities.

The third and final wave, according to the top director, will be to transform artificial intelligence into a full-fledged form of intelligence, exceeding human capabilities in the speed of data processing and the volume of thinking. Referring to the expectations of American businessman Elon Musk, he stated that by 2030, artificial intelligence could exceed the total intelligence of all humanity.

– Models actually solve PhD-level problems faster than scientists. But people set tasks for them. Let me emphasize: AI models will not replace humans, but will enhance them many times over,” the magazine quoted Voronin’s words. Forbes.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development presented a draft federal law aimed at establishing rules in the field of artificial intelligence.
